Calibration (Hiring)
The process of aligning interviewers, recruiters and hiring managers on what 'good' looks like for a role before interviews begin.
Calibration is the structured process of aligning all stakeholders on the definition of a strong candidate for a given role: required competencies, deal-breakers, trade-offs and the rating scale. Without calibration, the same candidate will be rated very differently by different interviewers, undermining the integrity of the process and slowing decisions.
