Headcount Planning
The process of deciding how many people to hire, into which functions, and when, in alignment with the financial plan.
Headcount Planning is the process of building a multi-quarter forecast of hires by function, level and start date, mapped against the financial plan. Strong headcount planning aligns Finance, People and the executive team on the same numbers and treats hiring capacity as an investable resource rather than a quarterly scramble.
